When the sun first rose, I couldn’t help but stare
On this day beauty had no compare
Its majestic light illuminated everything in sight
The brightest light shined upon my night
I had been alone in darkness before this day
Everything looked so far away
In a void of depression and fears
Until this nourishing light dried my tears
I was not the only one who admired its benevolence and beauty
To experience the warmth of its unity
Many others wanted a chance at love at first rise
But to my humbling surprise, it still shined upon my eyes
This day of no equal was coming to an end
Retreating behind the tallest mountain
And the miraculous sun slowly started to dim
I feared the darkness would soon begin
For its return I did pray
Somehow knowing it would return the very next day
